Before stepping into a recording studio, the track existed as a raw, imperfect demo burned onto a physical CD—a guitar-and-voice recording given to the person who changed my life. That moment became a turning point: a stark choice between walking away from music entirely or risking everything to learn how to sing, produce, and build a career from scratch.

Getting the track to its final state was an exhausting creative battle. After an initial production path didn't align with what the song demanded, the arrangement was completely torn down and rebuilt. The result is an intimate, fragile soundscape: it starts with close acoustic layers and altered background vocal textures, builds through a heavy emotional crescendo and an added bridge, and finally collapses back into a raw, unfiltered vocal take where the click of the original metronome can still be heard in the background.

Lyrically, the song stems from a place of helplessness—watching someone drown in their own anxiety and being unable to fix it, offering instead the absolute certainty of presence: “No matter what... I will always be there.” Though circumstances change and people drift apart, the promise remains untouched.
